The creel thing

Wednesday

After a wonderful breakfast of sausages and fried eggs, we again did our duties. Washing up: the musical, is very popular ... And loud!
"We like porridge"

Today we have done two activities: one half collected in the creels (lobster pots) and visited John Ridgway's rowing boat whilst the others built rafts and then raced them.

There were some highlights out in the boats catching some monster lobsters and crabs: shore crabs, yummy-looking edible brown crabs, spider crabs and velvet swimming crabs which one or two our number were convinced were the source of velvet, although how it was harvested we still don't know ...

We also taught lobsters to write ...

The raft-building photos will be available when we get back to school.
