What a day! We woke from our slumber at 6:15am (they can do it!) and then took down our tents and had a hearty breakfast of egg and beans- after cereals and tea.
Them we climbed Arkle: sounds easy, but this was a major challenge. We had to walk up for four hours and down for two. Parts of the walk involved walking along a ridge with 100+m drops on either side. Everyone did it, despite one or two having initial concerns. We are very proud of our children as the conditions were hard for them with low cloud and a howling wind on the summit. They were all really positive: one group sang all the way up and down!
The poor visibility meant that I could not take many pictures today ... Here are a few photos ... There will be a few more from the other groups when we return.
